In today’s real estate market there can be huge pressure to get everything just right before selling a property.
Today, some of the “musts” you hear before selling include:
• You must stage your house;
• You must paint throughout;
• You must make repairs that you never felt were important;
• You must clear our treasured items before a buyer is allowed in;
• You must make sure your house has curb appeal; and,
• You must, you must, you must, and on and on.
Let me just say this. While you obviously want to maximize the price of your property, it is your agent who must make the buyers appreciate what is special about your house. Your agent’s job is to get everything in and about your home ready for sale in order to remove the tension and stress from you. Further, to make the process seem even more manageable, you should be aware that not all of the “musts” need to be done for every property in every sale. Your agent should know exactly what needs to be done to maximize the price of your house while minimizing any disruption to your life.
To boil it down to its essence, your agent should reduce tension while maximizing the value of your property.
I handle all of the preparation details with my talented team of skilled specialists. I would be happy to meet with you to explain how the stress can be reduced. Summer is an excellent opportunity to plan for the fall market – a market which will be here sooner than we think!
